Can we just call bygones on how long it’s been since I blogged a client post? I know it’s been nearly a month. Whoa, it was a crazy month! Crazy good, crazy hectic. Let’s just say I feel refreshed. I reached a major milestone over the weekend. Not to be coy, but it’s pretty exciting. You’re gonna love it, I just know it!
So here we are in May and Chris and Carrie have been very patient with me. They met me on a beautiful April morning in Southport for some pictures at the beach and local library. It was the kind of morning that was quiet and calm, a little hazy but still bright and sunny. I love early morning engagement shoots, it’s a really gorgeous time of day to work with a couple before too many people are out and about, especially if the session is in a public area. We also lucked out with low tide which allowed us to have even more beach space to work with, and I am so glad these two weren’t afraid to walk in a little mud. I think it was totally worth the slightly dirty shoes we had by the end of the day!
Sean and I have known Chris for close to 10 years now, and he and Carrie were set up by mutual friends a couple years ago. I truly enjoy spending time with these two. We’ve hiked mountains together, cooked dinner for each other, and camped out in the pouring rain. These are through thick and thin friends. It’s been a joy to watch their relationship grow. We were overjoyed when Chris asked Carrie to marry him in Paris last summer (I know, right??), and they are planning their wedding for October of this year! They are kind, caring people, and they complement each other perfectly. I am blessed to call them friends.
