I am a dreamer. I openly admit it. I dream of “somedays”, adventures I’d like to go on with my husband, places I’d like to see, things I hope to experience. I’ve done some amazing things in my 28 years, simply by being a part of something bigger and more special than myself. In high school, my wind ensemble was chosen to perform at both Symphony Hall in Boston, and Carnegie Hall in NYC. I sang a teeny solo on a stage at Disney with my show choir. Yup, band geek and “gleek” before it was all cool and fashionable. I have had some awesome experiences in my life. Which brings me to today’s shoot.
Jamie and John helped me check a big ol’ awesome item off of my Photographer Bucket List (if that didn’t exist, it does now) without even knowing what they were doing. They just love the Red Sox. They love Boston. They have Boston accents that are so cute and make me long to be there, “home”, and not in Connecticut. I mean, Connecticut is great. I am not hating on Connecticut. But it doesn’t hold a candle to my city. And Jamie and John decided they wanted their engagement session to be in the best place in the city: Fenway Park.
That’s right, I said in. Inside the park. Not just outside, which is awesome in it’s own glorious red brick and green entrance way, but also inside. All over. When Jamie told me this, my insides started tap-dancing. It was going to be epic. It was epic. Jamie arranged everything and with the exception of a small tour group making it’s way around, we had the whole place to ourselves. I felt like a little kid in a candy shop. Except big. And in the best American baseball park in the history of ever. It was important to me that we obviously take advantage of different parts of the park, but I also wanted to make sure the focus remained on Jamie and John, not the (awesome) setting. Lucky for me, that was easy. They are so naturally sweet together, and completely rocked it. I am so happy to be working with them and can’t wait for their wedding this summer! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I am so incredibly lucky to have each and every one of my couples that I get to work with. Every time I finish a shoot or wedding I am completely in love with them, and the work I’m doing. I’m living the dream.
So here are my Fenway sweethearts. Enjoy!
