Candid

Pinterest is an interesting beast. I love browsing pins, seeing what people are crazy about, what ridiculous DIY projects are getting buzz. There are running jokes that people use Pinterest so they can “feel creative”. I get the joke, I can pretend I have a great sense of style by pinning really cool outfits that I’d never actually buy or wear. I can pretend I’m an amazing, adventurous cook by all the fancy recipes I compile to my “Om Nom Nom” board.

But every once in a while something does spark that creativity. Something smacks me right in the face and makes me wake up out of my lazy scrolling and just pause to think.

One of my favorite things to do is “pin” pictures that just make me smile. Some are posed, but a lot are candid. I saw one tonight that I loved, pinned it, and captioned it “Candid moments make us all more human”. Celebrity or average joe, we all laugh, we all cry. At the end of the day, a picture is a picture and it’s not worth a thing if it doesn’t capture a little life.

Amazing how we’re all just people, huh?
