It’s not every day that a bride rick-rolls her own wedding vows. But that’s Kristen, and David laughed with love in his eyes as they exchanged vows they had written themselves. They were sweet, heartfelt, and one of a kind, just like these two. After the snowy end to October, Kristen and David’s wedding day was greeted with open arms. Chilly, yes, but golden, sunny skies, crunchy leaves underfoot, and a sweet, gorgeous couple with a lot of heart and a passion for rocking out to hits of the 80s.
The Commander’s Mansion is a unique space, full of rooms with high ceilings and opulent chandeliers, old decor, gorgeous grounds…I was in heaven. The rooms felt rich, I could just drink each of them up with their little charming details. While Kristen and David partied it up with their guests, Russell Morin Fine Catering provided a spread that included an amazing mac and cheese bar, which to say the guests loved would be an understatement. They danced their feet off, thanks to the lovely Sara Williams playing awesome tunes all day. The gorgeous flowers were designed by Cass Flowers of Watertown, and ceremony and cocktail hour music was provided by the delightful Con Brio Trio.
This is one of my last posts of the year, but I still have some great things coming up to share with you, so please come back soon! Cheers!
